Burrowing Owl Winery

With sweeping views of one of the South Okanagan’s largest vineyards, Burrowing Owl Estate Winery and its Sonora Room restaurant make up a fantastic all in one Okanagan wedding venue. Each year, couples contact me to be their wedding photographer, giving me the opportunity to create stunning winery wedding images.

Have a sun drenched ceremony in the poolside courtyard or out in the vineyard followed by
great food prepared by top chefs as you sip local wines in the afterglow of an Okanagan summer night – who could ask for more! Weddings in the spring and fall seasons are fantastic here – warm and sunny, but not too hot yet!

Located on Black Sage Road between Oliver and Osoyoos, right in the heart of desert wine country, you’ll find the drive from Kelowna, Penticton or Vancouver to be one of the best you’ve ever had.

For photography, I like to take groups off site, just minutes away into the authentic desert terrain – the only landscape of its kind in Canada. Desert flora, with its subtle colour palette and interesting textures makes for a truly memorable experience and incredible images. There are some historic sites – photographer’s secrets – just down the road, for photography sessions with rustic appeal.

Fall is also a great time to take in Okanagan Winefest. This is a popular time for a wedding, and why not! Take your guests on tours of the valley’s finest vineyards and taste all that the South Okanagan has to offer.
