I followed an "outdated" strip of railway, starting on the
westernmost border of Saskatchewan - a point where, to
me, the "real" prairie begins. This happened to be at Consul,
where the line takes a curve northward. My physical
goal was to reach Pangman, 90 kilometres south of Regina,
where the tracks had been torn out . . .

under a rocky bluff on the slope of the Okanagan Valley.
Biologist Mike Sarell is knocking on doors in western rattlesnake

Somehow it seemed that a dog on the loose, oblivious to the constraints of
"Time" and physical boundaries like "Private Property" signs - made better
sense to me than my human world does.
By looking at things through a dog's eyes, I've attempted to develop a
canine sense - one full of wonder, humour, and most importantly, a sense of
simplicity. Uncluttered by extraneous thoughts, unburdened by physical
baggage and open to each day as it awakens, the dog has much to teach . . .

Exhibited and collected by regional and national galleries including The National Archives of Canada and The Royal B.C. Museum, his work is of national significance. Kevin has also been featured nationally on CBC Radio 3 and in arts journals including Lenswork and Alberta Views.
As an artist, Kevin has exhibited documentary photography at galleries throughout Canada. Recent exhibitions include The Justina M. Barnicke Gallery at the University of Toronto, The National Exhibition Centre, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Kelowna Art Gallery, Kamloops Art Gallery, the Nanaimo Art Gallery.
Overseas, Kevin’s work includes photo essays of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Philippines for Hope International Development Agency.
The Magenta Foundation considers Kevin to be one of Canada’s best photographers. His work is featured in the recent hard cover book Carte Blanche - Photography.
